- On September 20, KHIDI, together with Seoul National University Hospital and six other Korean medical institutions in the U.S., founded the Korea Medical Council. The event marks the beginning of a web of collaborations that will occur among these eight organizations. The Council was establishment with the purpose of encouraging networking among Korean companies, either hoping to enter the U.S. market or already based in the U.S. The Council will provide a foundation for such companies to share difficulties and experiences, as well as to collaborate with one another. KHIDI USA Director Do Hyun Cho, who was appointed Secretary of the Council, described the group as a ‘mentor’ for Korean health institutions. Through joint collaboration and effort, the Council hopes to root the Medical Korea brand name in the U.S.
